With sustainability at the heart of our business, we want to do our part and more to make the world a fair, safe and healthy place for us, you and future generations.
Sustainability is an integral part of how we operate. Environmental, social and technological considerations are embedded in our day to day operations as well as in our long term planning. Our priorities include reducing emissions, strengthening responsible sourcing, upholding human rights, and enabling customer led sustainability improvements. Together, these efforts reflect our ambition to create meaningful, measurable value for our customers and for society.
Our Sustainability program outlines the key drivers behind our work and defines the most essential sustainability topics based on the Double Materiality Assessment (DMA). These topics guide our priorities and shape all our sustainability actions.
In 2025, we completed our first Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) as an independent company. The assessment was conducted in alignment with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and Vivicta’s business model as a technology services provider.
As a result, we identified seven sustainability topics, which are grouped into four focus areas: Environmental sustainability, Social sustainability, Governance, and Technological sustainability.
Being environmentally conscious and doing our part to combat climate change and improve the circulation of materials are important aspects to how we work and deliver services.
Our business is people business, hence people and culture form an integral part of Vivicta's sustainability agenda.
Our corporate culture and governance practices provide the foundation for responsible, reliable operations.
Technology is at the core of Vivicta and delivering IT services in a sustainable and ethical way is fundamental to everything we do.
Sustainability governance at Vivicta is fully embedded in our corporate governance structure and anchored at the highest level of the company. The Board of Directors oversees sustainability-related impacts, risks and opportunities and approves the sustainability strategy and targets. The Leadership Team sets the sustainability strategy and priorities and follows progress as part of regular business and risk reviews. A cross functional Sustainability Network supports implementation and ensures alignment across the organization. Day to day sustainability management is led by the Sustainability Team under the accountability of the Head of Marketing, Communications, & Sustainability.
Vivicta enforces its sustainability work through external commitments
We actively reduce the climate impact of our data centers and IT services by focusing on energy efficiency, renewable electricity, and optimized infrastructure use. Our operations prioritize efficient cooling, virtualization, right sizing of capacity, and continuous improvement of data center performance metrics such as Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). Where possible, waste heat from data centers is recovered and reused, for example in district heating systems or building heating solutions.
We have defined climate and environmental targets that focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing renewable energy use, and improving energy efficiency. Our targets include both SBTi aligned near-term and net-zero ambitions covering scopes 1-3. We continue to use 100% renewable electricity and engage with suppliers to align them with science-based climate targets.
We measure greenhouse gas emissions related to our operations and customer services and report them on annual basis. Emissions tracking covers all scopes 1-3. For many customers, especially in the public sector, we provide annual reporting on service-related emissions and energy consumption, supporting transparency and follow-up during the contract period.
Energy efficiency and responsible lifecycle management are key criteria in our IT hardware selection and operations. We prioritize equipment that meets recognized standards such as Energy Star where available. We actively work to extend the useful life of hardware through maintenance, updates, reuse, and refurbishment, while ensuring that new purchases meet high energy efficiency requirements.
We apply circular economy principles throughout the IT equipment lifecycle. Devices are reused internally or through certified partners whenever possible. Equipment that reaches end of life is recycled or otherwise treated in accordance with EU and EEA waste legislation, including the WEEE Directive. We work with responsible recycling partners and ensure traceability and compatibility for the handling of electronic waste.
Responsible sourcing is an integral part of our procurement practices. We require key hardware manufacturers to have publicly available policies addressing conflict minerals and responsible mineral sourcing, including due diligence practices and supply chain controls. These requirements are aligned with international expectations and are reflected in our supplier agreements and sourcing criteria.
We are committed to respecting human rights and fair labor practices across our operations and supply chain. Our approach is aligned with the UN Global Compact, ILO core conventions, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Suppliers are required to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes requirements on labor rights, non-discrimination, prohibition of forced and child labor, and ethical business conduct. We monitor compliance with these aspects regularly through ESG surveys, supplier meetings and Dow Jones Sanction checks.
We conduct supplier due diligence and ongoing ESG risk assessments as part of our sourcing and supplier management processes. This includes supplier self-assessments, audits where applicable, follow up activities, and corrective actions when risks or gaps are identified. ESG performance and compliance are monitored continuously to support responsible sourcing and long-term improvement across the supply chain.
As part of our science‑based climate targets, supplier climate performance is a key consideration. We prioritise suppliers with SBTi‑aligned targets and actively engage with other suppliers to encourage alignment over time, particularly in high‑impact parts of our value chain.
