Returning to Vivicta: Jan Bjelde on customers, capability, and a company ready for what’s next

After a period away from Vivicta, Jan Bjelde has returned to the company. Since his last time here, both the technology landscape and the business itself have evolved significantly.

For Jan, the timing came down to one key factor: Vivicta is now exceptionally well positioned to meet what customers actually need.

"Today, Vivicta has a strong foundation in security, stable operations, and delivery within Norway and the EU. At the same time, the company has invested heavily in modern platforms, AI, and the ability to help customers with transformation and modernization," he says.

This means that Vivicta can now operate as an endtoend provider – also for customers navigating the transition between traditional solutions and new cloud and platformbased models.

A powerful combination

With increasing geopolitical uncertainty, stricter compliance requirements, and a growing need for both control and innovation, Jan believes Vivicta addresses a clear and timely market need.

Customers need flexibility. They need a broad portfolio of services, from sovereign and secure private cloud to public cloud.

"At the same time, security and compliance must be embedded in everything we do. Vivicta can now offer exactly this combination," he emphasizes.

"The world needs Vivicta"

The difference from the last time Jan worked at the company is clear.

"When I left, Tietoevry Tech Services was shaped by the process around a planned sale. After the business was acquired by Agilitas and continued as Vivicta, a lot of energy has been released. The focus is now clearly on customers, with room for growth and development in a world that truly needs Vivicta more than ever."

Time spent outside the company has also brought new perspectives. Jan has worked at a larger consulting firm and brings valuable experience with him back to Vivicta.

"I’ve become even more sales and customeroriented, and I’ve seen that many of the challenges we face are remarkably similar across industries. The most important thing I bring with me is the understanding that we must always start with the customer in everything we do."

Bringing a strong Vivicta to the Norwegian market

In the end, it was the people who made Jan decide to return.

"Vivicta has an incredible number of talented people and strong capabilities. The culture is open, inclusive, and highly collaborative. It feels good to return to an environment where people are passionate about the same things."

Now, Jan is looking forward to showing the market what Vivicta is truly capable of.

"I’m excited to win new major contracts and to show Norway how strong Vivicta has become."

To others who are considering returning to a former employer, his advice is simple:

"It ultimately comes down to wellbeing. If you enjoy your work, you also create a foundation for success. That’s where my decision started, and where my confidence in what we can achieve comes from," he concludes.
