The role is responsible for one functional area (Lead‑to‑Bill, Source‑to‑Pay, or Record‑to‑Report) covering multiple business‑critical applications. The Application Owner acts as the key interface between Finance stakeholders and IT, ensuring that business needs are translated into a clear and value‑driven application roadmap.
Own the application landscape within the assigned finance domain
Act as primary IT contact for Finance and related stakeholders
Understand business requirements and translate them into a prioritized roadmap
Manage application backlog, lifecycle activities, and enhancements
Collaborate with IT delivery teams and vendors on solution design and delivery
Ensure alignment with ERP strategy, architecture standards, and governance
Experience with ERP and/or Finance applications in an enterprise environment
Strong understanding of finance processes (L2B, S2P, or R2R)
Proven ability to work between business and IT stakeholders
Experience in application ownership, product ownership, or similar roles
Strong communication, prioritization, and analytical skills
Experience with major ERP platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
Understanding of finance controls, compliance, or audit requirements
Experience working with external delivery partners
Able to work with large amount of data and focus on details
Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
