How prepared are Nordic organizations for disruption?
About the study
The Nordic IT Resilience Report 2026 presents findings from a study conducted by Kairos Future on behalf of Vivicta. Based on insights from 320 senior business and technology leaders in large organizations across Finland, Norway and Sweden, the report examines how organizations are strengthening continuity, governance and operational readiness in an increasingly complex risk environment.
Why this study matters
Ambition is growing. Proven readiness is not keeping pace.
Almost two-thirds of Nordic organizations expect to increase their IT resilience investments over the next 12 months. Yet only one in three is highly confident that critical services could be maintained or recovered during a major disruption.
The report helps business and technology leaders to:
- Benchmark IT resilience maturity against Nordic peers
- Identify gaps between investment ambition and operational readiness
- Understand the roles of leadership, people and governance
- Understand supplier dependencies and third-party continuity risks
Top findings from the study
Investment ambition outpaces readiness
64% of organizations expect to increase their IT resilience investments during the next 12 months, but only 33% report high confidence in their ability to maintain or recover critical services during a major disruption.
People & leadership drive resilience
Workforce readiness and crisis management structures are the capabilities leaders consider most important for IT resilience, each selected by 52% of respondents.
Nordic readiness varies by market
Finland leads Nordic IT resilience readiness, with 46% of organizations reaching advanced maturity, compared with 27% in Norway and 24% in Sweden.
